Southern California based singer & songwriter, Shakr (Peter Abichaker), is building bridges through his unique east-meets-west brand of English & Mandarin pop music that features emotionally expressive melodic hooks and lyrical themes of resilience. As a queer Lebanese American growing up in Boston, he found escape and identity expression in the magical sounds of Asian pop music from the early 2000s, as well as the powerful storytelling of American rock pop – galvanizing him to fearlessly share his own voice & perspective through song.
